Nada Show 2019

With the National Automobile Dealers Association show for 2019 recently wrapping up on January 27th in San Francisco, we wanted to review some of the top highlights from this year’s expo. The four-day event was packed with guest speakers, informative workshops, and valuable networking sessions.

The NADA show is one of the largest automobile expos, bringing together innovative products and technology specifically targeted toward franchised new-car dealerships. If you missed out on this year’s show, here are some of the top highlights.

Fast Facts

  • More than 10,000 auto dealerships represented
  • 45% individual dealerships
  • Over 40 countries represented
  • Five keynote speakers over four days

Keynote Speakers

This year’s event hosted an impressive lineup of world-class guest speakers. Cat Cole, COO, and President of FOCUS Brands North America delivered a keynote address showing leaders how to succeed, adapt, and innovate through times of change. Her seminar was Friday the 25th and was a top event this year.

For something on the lighter side, award-winning actor and comedian Dana Carvey highlighted the speaker lineup on January 26th. Offering lighthearted humor and commentary on topics from popular culture to politics, Dana’s show was a hit with everyone in attendance.

Other keynote speakers included Major Dan Rooney of the US Air Force, speaking about leadership and teamwork. Wesley Lutz, 2018 NADA Chairman, and Charles Gilchrist, 2018 NADA Vice Chairman, also made appearances at this year’s event.

NADA Workshop Super Session

The Super Session at this year’s event gave participants the tools, skills, and resources to elevate their business social media and online presence. Titled ‘Disrupting Your Market with Google, Facebook, and Twitter,’ participants learned how to disrupt their local dealership marketplace leveraging these digital tools to increase online customer engagement.

Featuring a dedicated lineup of speakers from Facebook, Twitter, and Google, this high-value workshop was a must-see for everyone at the event.

If you missed this year’s event, be sure to register for NADA 2020, hosted in Las Vegas from February 14th to the 17th.
